Where It All Began
The first team I fell in love with was the 2013-2014 Los Angeles Clippers. The team featured stars like Chris Paul, Deandre Jordan and my personal favorite, Blake Griffin. Blake Griffin was the sole reason in me becoming a Clippers fan. His insane dunks were mesmerizing and something I've never seen before. Below is an example of the Incredible dunk that first caught my eye. The team finished with a record of 57-25, ranking third in the Western Conference. Then came my first playoff series experience with this team and, quite honestly, it was one of my favorite playoff series I've experienced. We went on to beat Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors in 7 games and advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. This is where things got rocky. We fought very hard, but we unfortunately fell to the Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant lead Oklahoma City Thunder in 6 games.
Though I have never gotten into professional basketball, I have grown up watching college basketball (Go Tarheels!), so I understand the experience of following a basketball team through all the highs and lows. I remember when I got to go to a game for my tenth birthday. I was so excited, and it was a really cool experience. Hopefully I can get to another game one day.
